Actively Managed Certificates sind ein neues Instrument f\u00fcr Verm\u00f6gensverwalter, mit dem sie relativ flexibel einen Asset-Management-Bereich in ihr Angebot aufnehmen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

AMCs(Actively Managed Certificates,<\/em> aktiv verwaltete Zertifikate) sind Finanzprodukte, die haupts\u00e4chlich in der Schweiz angeboten werden. Diese strukturierten Anlageprodukte kombinieren bestimmte Merkmale von aktiv verwalteten Fonds und strukturierten Produkten und werden derzeit stark ausgebaut. <\/p>\n
Um ihren Nutzen zu verdeutlichen, werden wir das Akronym der Reihe nach erkl\u00e4ren.<\/p>\n
A … wie \u00abActively\u00bb<\/u><\/p>\n
Ein Schl\u00fcsselelement des AMC ist vor allem der dynamische Charakter der zugrunde liegenden Verm\u00f6genswerte, die innerhalb eines zuvor festgelegten Rahmens relativ leicht neu gewichtet werden k\u00f6nnen. Dieser dynamische Charakter erm\u00f6glicht es den AMCs, sich an unterschiedliche Marktereignisse anzupassen. Sie tragen damit dem notwendigen Bed\u00fcrfnis der Verm\u00f6gensverwalter Rechnung, eine skalierbare Sicht auf den Markt zu entfalten. <\/p>\n
Es ist jedoch zu beachten, dass AMCs auch zur Umsetzung passiver Strategien verwendet werden k\u00f6nnen, die wenig wahrscheinlich einen Tracking Error<\/em> im Vergleich zu den grossen Indizes erzeugen.<\/p>\n
M \u2026 wie \u00ab Managed \u00bb<\/u><\/p>\n
Das Wort \u00abManaged\u00bb, das man im Deutschen mit \u00abverwaltet\u00bb \u00fcbersetzen w\u00fcrde, ist unter Juristen im Finanzbereich ein viel diskutiertes Konzept. W\u00e4hrend in der Schweiz allgemein die Auffassung vertreten wird, dass AMCs nicht als kollektive Kapitalanlagen zu qualifizieren sind, besteht insbesondere im europ\u00e4ischen Raum weiterhin eine gewisse Neigung, sie de facto als Hedgefonds zu betrachten. <\/p>\n
Nichtsdestotrotz ist ihr dynamischer Charakter grunds\u00e4tzlich mit menschlichem Eingreifen verbunden. Die in der Schweiz vertriebenen AMCs verfolgen \u00fcberwiegend nicht-quantitative Strategien und unterst\u00fctzen das aktive Management als Kontrast zum passiven Management und zur Dominanz von ETFs, insbesondere auf dem US-Markt. So kann der Verm\u00f6gensverwalter seine eigenen \u00dcberzeugungen und\/oder die seiner Kunden voll zum Ausdruck bringen. <\/p>\n
C \u2026 wie \u00ab Certificate \u00bb<\/u><\/p>\n
Hier kommen wir wieder auf die Form zur\u00fcck. AMCs sind Zertifikate, das heisst Schuldtitel, deren R\u00fcckzahlungsformel nicht monet\u00e4r, sondern an die Wertentwicklung einer Reihe von Verm\u00f6genswerten gekoppelt ist. Wie alle Finanztitel weist das AMC also ein Ausfallrisiko des Emittenten \u00fcber seinen gesamten Nennwert auf. Der Inhaber ist somit ein einfacher chirographischer, das heisst nicht privilegierter Gl\u00e4ubiger. Einige AMCs sehen zus\u00e4tzlich die Bereitstellung von Sicherheiten vor, die durch die nachgebildeten Verm\u00f6genswerte \u2013 bzw. gleichwertigen Verm\u00f6genswerte \u2013 besichert sind.<\/p>\n
Im Gegensatz zu einem Kapitalwertpapier hat der Inhaber eines AMC keine Stimmrechte und generell keine Governance-Rechte. Er hat auch kein Recht auf die Aussch\u00fcttung des Gewinns, das heisst einer Dividende. Einige AMCs k\u00f6nnen jedoch synthetische Mechanismen enthalten, mit denen Sie einen festen oder variablen Ertrag erzielen k\u00f6nnen. <\/p>\n
Im Gegensatz dazu sind Fonds Aktien von Unternehmen, in der Regel von SICAVs, und bieten somit direkten Zugang zum Wert der Verm\u00f6genswerte \u00fcber den sogenannten Nettoinventarwert \u2013 oder NAV, f\u00fcr Net Asset Value.<\/p>\n
Alles in allem sind AMCs einzigartige und hybride Instrumente mit besonderen Eigenschaften, durch die sie sich an sehr spezielle Anwendungsf\u00e4lle anpassen k\u00f6nnen. Das AMC kann daher ein Anlagethema in einem umfassenderen Portfolio sehr gut adressieren oder selbst einen grossen Teil des Portfolios verk\u00f6rpern, wenn es zu Zwecken der operativen Rationalisierung eingesetzt wird. <\/p>\n

Denis Cole is a Principal and Product Specialist for PGIM Fixed Income’s Emerging Markets Debt Team with over 14 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the Firm in 2020, Mr. Cole was a Portfolio Manager and Product Specialist for Gramercy Funds Management\u2019s Emerging Markets Debt Team. At Gramercy, he was a member of the firm\u2019s investment committee as well as the sovereign and corporate debt credit committees. During his time at Gramercy, Mr. Cole garnered extensive experience in emerging market sovereign and corporate debt, across the entire ratings spectrum. In addition to his portfolio management duties, Mr. Cole performed research on sovereign and corporate credit opportunities, primarily in Latin America. Magdalena Polan is a Principal, Head of Emerging Market Macroeconomic Research and the Lead Economist for major emerging market economies in Central Europe and the Middle East for PGIM Fixed Income. She is based in London and works closely with EM portfolio managers and the broader EM team to translate fundamental macroeconomic views into investment positioning for global emerging markets. Prior to joining the Firm in 2021, Ms. Polan served as Global Emerging Market Economist for Legal General Investment Management. Prior to that she worked at Goldman Sachs and the IMF, where she reviewed IMF programs and policies for EM economies during the global financial crisis and worked on issues related to public debt and financial markets.
